Description

An agile organisation is more than just a group of agile teams. Agile teams are a good foundation on which you build your agile organisation, but the structures surounding these teams must be able to link the team’s agility with the agility of the business.
In the last decade, many frameworks and models were created with the intent to support the organisation with well thaught-out structures, based on the core principles of Lean and Agile. Many of these frameworks and models, however, are often used and implemented without actually understanding the pre-conditions and implications they have for the organisation adopting them.

This training cosists of two big parts. The main goal of the first part is to give you a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles behind agile scaling and the conciderations you’ll need to make for your own specific context. The main aspects we will discuss are team topologies, team and cross-team strategies, cross-team flow and business objectives at scale.

In the second part we will discuss the basic idea’s behind the most popular frameworks of this moment. We will check out SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), SaS (Scrum at Scale) and LeSS (Large Scaled Scrum) and discuss some of the different approaches they employ for dealing with certain situations. This training is by no means intended to replace the official trainings about these topics since we will only be able to discuss some basic ideas without getting far into the details.

So if you are looking for guidance or insights in the fundamentals of agile scaling, or if you are trying to figure out which framework is more interesting for your situation? Then this training might be an excellent starting point for you!

FAQ

Extra information due to Covid-19

As lockdowns around the world are being lifted, we are very happy to go back to in-person training. We are working on safety measures to ensure that the training stays dynamic while also being safe. At the same time, we understand the situation regarding Covid-19 is fluid and can change. We are therefore also ready to run this training in a live-online format if the circumstances demand it.

After you register, you will be informed on possible changes in the training format. You will have the opportunity to cancel or postpone your participation at no cost, in case of switching to the online training format.

How is this training different from any other Agile training? What can I expect?

Good question! Our goal is to maximise your learning experience. We achieve this by combining the teaching of theory with practical exercises. There will be no powerpoint presentations, but a lot of interaction, conversations and supporting visuals. All the created material will serve as documentation afterwards. Our trainers are all experienced coaches who are more than happy to share their insights and experiences.
