Pair programming workshop
This interactive workshop teaches you what pair programming really is and lets you practice it in different exercises.
Target Audience
This workshop is open for all technical people (programmers, operation engineers, ...). For this workshop, you should have a basic understanding of one of the major programming languages (Java, C#, C, ...)
Session Outline
Interactive theoretical part (2h):
- What is pair programming
- Why and when to use pair programming?
- Isn't it waste?
- Resistance and challenges
- How does it actually works
- Pairing 'smells'
The 2nd part (2h) is a practical workshop using extreme promiscuous pairing techniques. This means we do different, 10-minute exercises to really understand how pair programming works in practice.

Participant testimonial
The outcome of the Pair Programming workshop came as a surprise. My intention was to convince my team to use pair programming more often and on their own initiative. It really worked! They followed the course with the same passion as Yves taught it. Each team member quickly saw the advantages during the practice part and that was all it took.
