Agile coaching at SD Worx

SD Worx has decided to switch parts of their IT department to using Scrum as the project management and development process. In order to be able to successfully define and implement this transition, SD Worx is working together with our agile coaches.

We supported in the development of the SD Agile Toolkit, which is both the definition of the agile process they are using for development and an assembly of tools, practices, templates, etc. to help development teams implement Scrum and Agile.

Next to that, our main job was to coach development teams into using Scrum and the SD Agile Toolkit. This means for every team:

• Assess their current way of working, productivity, business relations and delivered results
• Set up a transition plan together wth the PM and the team
• Support the execution plan;
• Prepare the team and context for working in short iterations delivering real value to the business
• Train and coach teams and PM’s into using Scrum
• Facilitate planning meeting, demo’s retrospectives and important project meetings
• Support PM’s in managing budget, timing and scope and in project reporting
• Provide feedback from the teams to SD Management
• Remove corporate impediments that are out of the responsibility area of the develoment teams but that are blocking them from delivering sprint results.
